Caboose Roster
Steel Cabs
This Caboose Roster info has been collected from various sources, and also with the help of numerous contributors. Cab numbers in orange are still in service. This is only a *known* list of cabs... There are probably some missing. Click here for an official drawing of a 500 series EJ&E caboose. It is speculated, but not confirmed, that the majority of the 500 series were built in 1956. The drawing for the 500 series also has a date of 1/56 on it. (*) indicates the cab was still on the property at the time of the CN purchase.
